Keith McKinnon has been working as an accountant since 1971.

In 1977 he was awarded The New South Wales Institute of Technology, Diploma in Technology (Commerce) with Credit, in 1978 he was admitted to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and in 1991 he was advanced as a Fellow.

Working in Canberra since 1984, he commenced his own practice in Queanbeyan in 1990.
